🙂 Common sense tells us that we should eat smaller portions and eliminate junk food if we are serious about maintaining health and preventing illness.
🙂 Eat when hungry, drink when thirsty; at all times be mindful.
🙂 Choose and eat only natural whole food; Use whole unrefined foods as much as possible.
🙂 Choose organic and fresh vegetable grown locally.
🙂 Chew well. Digestion starts in the mouth.
🙂 Never eat until you are 100% full, 80% is about right. Overeating creates excess, which, if not discharged, will cause imbalances.
🙂 Your kitchen is your pharmacy, our daily food is our medicine. Remember, that something like 70% of illnesses are diet-related.
🙂 Enjoy your meals; all food should be eaten with a spirit of gratitude and enjoyment.
🙂 Do not eat when upset or if your are very tired or if you are having emotional difficulties. At these times, the body is not prepared to receive food or to digest it properly, take a walk to calm down before you eat.
🙂 Eat regularly, two or three meals a day.
🙂 Snacks can be used moderately, but should not replace a regular meal.
🙂 Include at least one ot two vegetable dishes with every meal – breakfast, lunch and dinner.
🙂 Always sit down to eat, even when you are only having a snack.
